To some people poker is just a game, and to others it is a way to make a living. For those that are serious about making money with online poker, aggressive playing is the only way to play. Learning how to make money with poker is not something that happens overnight, and a lot of people spend years playing it habitually before they are confident to enter a casino tournament.
In poker there are two distinct styles – passive and aggressive. Both styles have their advantages but the following information should help your aggressive playing skills.
While playing aggressively your goal is to maintain a low flop rate and keep the pot high with aggressive betting. Playing aggressively is much more suitable when yo mix it with a tight playing style as well. This will keep you form going all out and having your blinds stolen.
Contrary to popular belief, aggressive playing is not betting high regardless of your hand. Instead, your mission is to bet high when the other players are betting low. This will let you dictate the size of the pot and intimidate other players simultaneously. If you learn to pick and choose your hands you will be much more successful.

If you play poker regularly then you may be familiar with the term Cbet, but you probably don’t know exactly what it means if you;re reading this. The term “Cbet”simply stands for continuation bet, in which is simply a bet that occurs on the flop after you have bet on the preflop. Basically, it means you are following a previous bet with another bet immediately thereafter.
This strategy is extremely simple yet effective because it keeps you in control of the game and it keeps your opponents on their toes. You can also control the pot size as well because you control whether the game is played aggressively or passively.
Usually a Cbet is about half or a third the size of the existing pot and have a higher success rate because it lets you build momentum which usually inflicts fear on the opponent causing them to fold. This is especially true if you are playing against one or two opponents.
A Cbet is an effective aggressive bluff because it puts the other players into the mindstate that you have something powerful worth betting on twice in a row. Against a single opponent a Cbet is a standard move that is seen commonly whenever someone has a strong hand. However against multiple players a Cbet would be considered more risky. If you decide to execute a Cbet against more than three people make sure you have the cards or the poker face to back it up! Otherwise it cost you the pot!

Keeping a secret in poker is absolutely crucial, because confidentiality i the only advantage you have over your opponent, especially when you have an inferior hand. Bluffing is a highly effective yet classic strategy that involves making your opponent believe one thing, even though the truth may be the exact opposite, Since it would be foolish to speak during a poker tournament, the only way to lie to your opponent is through your facial expressions. In online poker this is not as important, however if you;re the type of player that likes to practice his skills online for the big tournament in Vegas, then the following poker face types might help you.
The first thing you need to do is learn how to relax and disassociate yourself with the emotions of the game. If you can separate yourself from reality temporarily then you can create whatever facial expression or mood you’d like. After you’re relaxed you need to create an inner bubble in which you put all of your emotions. Everything you display to your opponents will be outside of this emotional bubble.
The best poker face is a straight stare that no one can decipher. Instead of trying zealously to portray a false image that could be seen as a fake by your opponents, you may want to keep a completely blank stare the entire time. Sometimes mystery will make your opponents commit stupid mistakes out of their fear and curiosity.
